Hold the rebate or watch the grains slip.
— five turns · one slow drain —
A glass full of sand.
An hourglass is honest. It does not explain itself, it does not slow down, it does not forget. The grains fall; the upper chamber empties; the lower one fills. Time only moves one way.
$SAND is a Uniswap-V4 hook built around the same honesty. Every swap above 0.01 ETH mints you a receipt — turns the glass, in our language.
“The grains do not stop. You must turn the glass again.”
Doubling for size.
Each receipt is engraved with one to seven grains, doubling with the swap. Below half an ETH, the lower colours; above, the lacquered top of the spectrum.
The receipt lives entirely on chain. A pair of triangles, a falling stream of pixels, the count, a stamp.
Time decays your tier.
The thing the previous edition lacked: a clock. $SAND adds one, set into the hook itself.
Each refraction stamps your lastTurnBlock. The view tierOf() deducts one tier per full 7 200-block period of inactivity. Raw rank never changes. The rebate it earns you does.

“One day quiet costs one tier. One week, all of them.”
1.667× at the maximum.
Carried over: one hundred virtual lending bands of thirty ETH each, forty percent LTV. loop(collat, N) chains borrow → V4 swap → re-lock atomically up to six iterations. Effective leverage converges to 1.667×.
Each loop pays a flat fifty $SAND bonus from a pre-funded pool of five thousand. A second ERC-721, the Position NFT, is minted as a memento of the call.
What it cannot do.
- a.Attribution uses
tx.origin. Adversarial routers may credit other addresses. - b.The rebate pool is finite: five thousand $SAND, no refill.
- c.The decay countdown is honest. It cannot be paused, suspended, or undone.
- d.No governance, no proxy, no upgrade path.
